Sunday School

It is hard to believe that summer is almost over and it is time to come back to school again. Insha Allah this year we will start Sunday school during Ramadan. I am attaching School Calendar for the School Year 2010 – 2011 for your kind information. As you can see from the attached Calendar, we are starting registration on August 15, 2010 between Maghreb and Ishaa in the MCC Office. Please complete the attached Registration Form before you come for the registration to expedite the process. The fee structure will remain the same. It will be $200 for 1st child and $400 for 2 or more kids of the same parents. Lunch money of $3.00 per adult and $2.00 per child is payable at the time of lunch purchase.

In order to improve the quality of Sunday School and provide your child with the best possible Islamic Education we are making some changes. We are adding more classes and more teachers including Sheikh Nasser who will be teaching Quran Recitation to the children.  Also, sis. Alwan will teach advanced Arabic to level 6 & 7.  Level 7 is for highschoolers and up. Other information is as under.

School Timings will be from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
When children come to the school they will go to the Masjid and pray 2 rakat sunnah before proceeding to the class. We will use this time to also make important announcements regarding Sunday School. Please make sure that your child has wudu before they come to school.
12:30 PM classes will dismiss and we will proceed for lunch.
12:30 PM to 1:05 PM will be lunch.
1:05 to 1:15 wudu and offering of sunnah prayers.
1:15 PM to 1:30 PM Salat Zuhur and Tasbih.  Please do not take your child before 1:30 PM except with prior permission granted by the teacher and or Principal.  Also, please do not be late to take your children home.  By joining your child(ren) in offering Salat Zuhur and Tasbih with us you can be sure to be on time, all the time.
In addition we are also starting an adult Tafseer class with Brother Magdy. This class will be offered every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. We strongly recommend that parents make use of this class and after the class please join our children and community for lunch and Salat al Zuhur. Please invite all your friends to this Tafseer class as it is free and open to all.

I urge parents for their involvement in Sunday Islamic School and encourage your children to gain knowledge about our beautiful religion- Islam. Brother and sisters if we fail in this mission we all be answerable to Allah. Please be involved with your childrens Islamic education.
