Iqamah Times during Ramadan
Fajr will be prayed 20 minutes after the Athan. Maghrib will be prayed 10 minutes after the Athan during the week and 15 minutes after the Athan on the weekends.
We begin by Praising Allah and sending the salah and the salam on His beloved Messenger Muhammad (P.B.U.H).
We have put this small brochure together in order to inform you regarding the details of what will take place during Ramadan. We hope that you find this beneficial and informative. We ask Allah to make this Ramadan easy, beneficial and that He brings the community together, displaying the true beauty of Islam. Amin!
Commencing Ramadan
The Religious committee has voted and decided that we at the MCC will commence and start Ramadan with the first country that sights the moon, including America.
We contemplated this subject a lot and we know that this is a very sensitive subject for our entire community, but we feel that we made the right choice for our community thus trying to facilitate ease for everyone. May Allah allow us to come together thus joining our hearts upon these decisions that are made solely for His sake.
Insha Allah we will be announcing Ramadan this year via a couple of different ways and they are: Global connect (automated system that will call every-one’s home with a pre-recorded message), website (magr.org) and on our answering machine.
